Zaragoza is a big, practical city that many people pass through on the AVE without stopping. It deserves a visit: the riverside Basílica del Pilar, the Aljafería palace and the tapas bars of El Tubo.

It is affordable, has a strong logistics and manufacturing job market, and is an easy base for the Pyrenees.

Climate: Hot summers, cold windy winters (the cierzo).
